Why teams switch to AsciiDoc
AsciiDoc adds features Markdown lacks for large documentation sets: includes, admonitions, cross-references and attributes. The Asciidoctor project, the reference implementation, also renders straight to PDF and EPUB. This converter handles the structural part; add AsciiDoc-only features afterwards.
Other formats
Markdown converts to: Confluence, Jira, Slack, LaTeX, BBCode, MediaWiki, reStructuredText, plus HTML, PDF, Word and Excel.
